Internship in Vila do Conde – Portugal (April–June 2025)

The second internship of the Green Roofs Technician Training Program was organized by our partner ANCV – Associação Nacional de Coberturas Verdes and hosted at the CMIA of Vila do Conde – Environmental Monitoring and Interpretation Center, Portugal.

From April 28 to June 20, 2025, 11 students from Lithuania and Romania participated in a two-month, 300-hour internship. The program combined theoretical and practical training, following the modules of the Green Roofs Training Platform (Modules 1–5), and focused on:

• Installation, maintenance, and monitoring of green roofs and green infrastructure
• The role of nature-based solutions in building climate-resilient cities
• Hands-on fieldwork with experts in environmental engineering and sustainability

👉 The internship was supported by Projar Portugal, sharing technical expertise, and also included a technical visit to Praça de Lisboa (Porto), where students observed how green roofs are integrated into the city landscape from the Clérigos Tower.

🌿 Student feedback once again confirmed the program’s impact, showing 100% satisfaction with the content, training methods, and practical experience.
